Built by a bird photographer, for the evening after the trip.

I'm [Your Name]. I photograph birds, and most trips end with far more photos than I can look at properly.

For years the evenings after a trip went the same way. I would import the card into DxO PhotoLab or Lightroom and go through the frames one by one, zooming to 100% on each to see whether the eye was sharp. Both are good editors. Neither has any idea where the bird is. To them, a sharp branch next to a soft bird is a sharp photo, so every frame had to be checked by eye.

After a week in Borneo that meant well over a thousand photos, and several evenings of sorting before I could edit a single one.

So I built the tool I wanted. It finds the bird in every photo, measures sharpness inside that box only, and checks the camera's AF point against it. Each burst shows its sharpest frame first. What is left is a short list I can judge with my own eyes, and the keepers go on to my editor as before.

The rest came from the same trips: masks that select the bird, a map of where each photo was taken, and an eBird checklist built from the species I photographed.

It runs on your computer, with no account. I did not want my photos going anywhere either.

It is still pre-release, and it reads Canon CR3 and JPEG files today, because that is what I shoot. If you use another camera, say so on the waitlist. That is how I decide what comes next.
